This Privacy Policy explains what information RapBattle ("we," "us") collects when you use the RapBattle app or website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

• Account information: email address, username, and password (handled securely by our authentication provider, Firebase Authentication — we never see or store your raw password).
• Profile content: profile picture, bio, and any tracks, battle videos, or messages you upload or post.
• Usage data: battle results, rankings, in-app activity such as votes and follows, and basic device/log information (e.g. platform, app version) used to keep the app working correctly.
• Payment information: if you make a purchase, payment is processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number — Stripe handles that directly under its own privacy and security policies.

How We Use Your Information

• To operate core features: live battles, rankings, messaging, and content uploads.
• To process purchases and manage subscriptions through Stripe.
• To communicate with you about your account, support requests, or important changes to the app.
• To keep the platform safe — for example, reviewing reports of abuse and enforcing our Terms of Service.

Who We Share Information With

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that make the app work:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, and file storage.
• Stripe — payment processing for subscriptions and in-app purchases.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of our users.

Your Choices

You can update your profile information at any time from within the app. You can delete your account and associated personal information at any time — see our Account Deletion page for instructions, whether or not you're still able to sign in.

Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal identifiers (email, username, avatar) immediately. Some records tied to other users' history (such as past battle results) may be retained in de-identified form, the same way they would be if the account had simply gone inactive.

Children's Privacy

RapBattle is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
